XRP Ledger to be quantum-proof years before Bitcoin
Even though sub-1% of XRP is even vulnerable to a quantum attack anyway, XRPL will be quantum-proof years before “Q-Day.”
Ripple just set a hard deadline to quantum-proof the XRP Ledger by 2028.
That puts XRPL years ahead of any “Q-Day” estimates in the 2030s.
It also outpaces Bitcoin, which still has no migration plan, no timeline, and 30-35% of its circulating supply relying on cryptography that quantum computers will eventually break.
Yes, really. XRPL is years ahead of Bitcoin on quantum preparedness.

XRP Premium Analysis
According to XRPL validator Vet, only 0.03% of all XRP sitting in two dormant whale accounts with exposed public keys are theoretically vulnerable to a future quantum attack.
On Bitcoin, the comparable figure runs up to 35%.
That is not a typo. Nearly 7 million BTC, including roughly 1.7 million Satoshi-era coins, sits in address formats where the public key is already visible on-chain. Google’s own Quantum AI team now flags a realistic attack window as early as 2030, with fewer than 500,000 physical qubits needed to derive a private key in about 9 minutes or less than Bitcoin’s own block time.
Bitcoin has no roadmap to fix this. XRPL does.
But quantum resistance is not why I’m bullish on XRP near-term. Instead, I’m looking at another factor today that could have an immediate impact on XRP, a major US Presidential Cabinet nomination that is just days away.…
