Not only did another bill pass a state legislative house committee on its way to becoming law, Missouri’s bill got rewritten to include XRP in addition to bitcoin.

Plus, it authorizes the state to buy XRP with taxpayer money.

Those are two facts the mainstream crypto media certainly hasn’t told you.

Market Context

Yes, it’s true. Missouri’s Standing Committee on Commerce voted 6-2 this month to advance House Bill 2080 with a Do Pass recommendation, Most crypto publications reported it as just another state bitcoin reserve bill moving forward, because this bill was bitcoin-only.

Emphasis on the past tense of was.

The actual version that passed Missouri’s Standing Committee on Commerce vote and is now advancing to a full House vote is rewritten to include XRP, including a name change of the state’s upcoming fund from the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve Fund to the Cryptocurrency Strategic Reserve Fund.

That is not a minor edit. That is a Missouri legislative committee signing off on XRP as a legitimate, state-level reserve asset on par with bitcoin.

Look it up for yourself if you want, just search for the original HB 2080 bill. No mention of XRP anywhere.

The amended bill that just gained Standing Committee on Commerce approval? Includes XRP!

XRP Premium Analysis

There are now over a dozen US states with some form of crypto reserve or investment legislation moving through their legislatures in 2026. Arizona’s Senate Bill 1649, for example, also names XRP explicitly.

But what makes Missouri’s HB 2080 bill different and critical for Crusaders to understand is the new funding mechanism that could open the floodgates for XRP…
